Your career at Deutsche Börse Group

Our SAP Operations team in Cork is responsible for daily operations, deployment, testing, upgrading, patching & maintenance of SAP landscape at Deutsche Boerse. We are looking for an aspiring Software Engineer to gain experience and knowledge in the field of SAP basis and operations. You will be given appropriate training and guidance to assist in your development. Our Interns receive the same responsibility and training investment as all our staff.
 
Roles & Responsibilities

  • The SAP Basis & Operations Intern will work within the SAP Operations team and be responsible for the following activities:
  • Participate in team development meetings
  • Access to SAP Systems in DBG landscape
  • Maintenance of SAP systems
  • SAP Systems Patching and Upgrades
  • Kernel and Oracle upgrades
  • Database and OS backups
  • Access to cloud platforms

 
 
Your Profile

  • Key attributes for the role include:
  • Currently studying for a Undergraduate in computer based discipline (Level 7 / 8)
  • Experience with ERP systems would be an advantage but not essential (SAP is an added advantage)
  • System Networks experience
  • Working knowledge of relation databases such as Oracle, MySQL etc.
  • Working experience of AIX (UNIX) and/or Linux
  • Can understand landscape diagrams and file transfer concepts
  • The student must be a self-starter and eager to learn SAP Administration
  • It is important to know that this role is not software development role – it is an IT Environment Management role.
