Your area of work:
For our newly established Client Onboarding and KYC team, we are currently looking for a Head of Unit to support the development of a new team and to contribute to the growth and excellence of our Client Onboarding and improve our client KYC experience. The Client Onboarding and KYC team is part of the Sales and RM section within Clearstream Fund Services.  

The team focuses on the onboarding of new business partners, both Asset Managers and Distributions Partners to our newly created Bank CFCL. Another key function of the team is maintaining the ongoing due diligence of these clients by performing annual KYC assessments in line with the Policy and Principles established by our Compliance Teams. You will support the daily activity of relationship managers with an understanding of all documentation that is used to set up a new customer and maintain existing ones.

 

You will be responsible for a team of 10 people and will need to ensure the groups KYC responsibilities are met within the scope of each calendar year. The head of unit is responsible for the growth and development of all team members, ensuring to a create a secure and collaborative working environment for the team. 


Clearstream Fund Services is a fast-growing business within Clearstream/Deutsche Börse and the market-leading provider of fund processing services in Europe and the largest one-stop shop in 3rd party funds services. Our Vestima product is the world’s largest fund processing platform provides order execution, settlement and custody services for more than 230,000 funds, ensuring highest asset safety for over 55 fund markets worldwide. 


Your responbilities:

  • Support the formation of a strong team and create profiles of expertise in the field of AML and KYC from a business perspective
  • Support the Management Team in the development and implementation of an effective and efficient Onboarding and KYC process and governance in coordination with internal stakeholders.
  • Help actively to harmonise and simplify processes related to Onboarding and KYC in close collarboration with second line of defense, internals teams and other key stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the Company’s revenue generation with the onboarding of new Distribution Partners and Asset Managers to the CFS world. 
  • Support the Relationship Management Team in the collection and validation of KYC documents from clients.
  • Perform continuous monitoring of the existing processes and implements changes and improvements where necessary. 
  • Provide support for the development and growth of all team members. 

 

Your profile:

  • 5-7 years of expertise in a similar function
  • Experience in the financial industry, preferably in investment fund business sector
  • At least 1-2 years in a role with people management responsibilities. 
  • Master or Bachelor degree in business administration, economics or similar
  • Good understanding of the financial services industry and especially in the area of data management 
  • Clear leadership abilities and communication skills. 
  • Able to work to deadlines and targets, whilst delivering a high quality of work.
  • Superior command of MS Office applications, in particular Excel as well as, basic understanding of MS Access, SQL and SAP
  • Self-motivated and able to work both independently, as well as, within a team
  • Excellent client and service orientation
  • Well-organized, accurate, proactive, conscientious and resilient
