You will contribute to a robust, proportionate and fit-for-purpose Internal Control System (ICS), while delivering high-quality analysis and practical outcomes across one or more Business Resilience activities and supporting the adoption of data, automation and Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities.
Your responsibilities- Contribute to ICS quality and efficiency: Perform complex analysis on the quality, adequacy, completeness and consistency of CSS processes, risks and controls, and contribute to continuous improvements towards proportionate, balanced and efficient ICS key controls.
- Deliver audit and supervisory remediation: Contribute to regulatory onsite inspections and significant internal, statutory and regulatory findings, including support to Corrective Action Plan (CAP) design, evidence review and tracking of remediation progress.
- Execute external assurance coordination: Support and, where assigned, coordinate ISAE 3402 and SOC 2 audit work, including observation drafting, improvement measure definition and report issuance with the external auditor.
- Produce integrated control reporting: Develop high-quality connecting-the-dots analysis and reporting across internal and external findings, Self-Identified Issues (SII), claims and goodwill, and incidents, in order to provide a comprehensive view of control maturity, failure events, red flags and actionable remediation; contribute to the Annual Management Report on Internal Controls.
- Support SII and CAP lifecycle management: Support the identification of SIIs and associated CAPs, maintain the inventory, monitor remediation and provide transparent reporting, including case-by-case advisory support where required.
- Contribute to the risk-resilience cycle: Contribute to the integration, rationalisation and elevation of the risk-resilience cycle by challenging business practices, supporting fewer, leaner and more effective controls, and helping to integrate, simplify and automate processes while fast-tracking AI adoption.
- Coach, coordinate and assure quality: Use your knowledge and experience in one or more Business Resilience activities to coach, coordinate, perform quality assurance and review the work of more junior team members.
- Represent Business Resilience with senior stakeholders: Prepare clear, concise and impactful presentations for senior management, attend meetings with senior stakeholders and governance bodies, articulate complex risk, control and resilience matters clearly and, where required, take over presentations or stakeholder updates from management.
- Education and industry experience: Master's degree in business management, banking, finance or a similar field, or equivalent professional experience, combined with more than 6 years of experience in the European financial services industry, for example in banks, financial market infrastructures, regulators or supervisory authorities. Understanding of the Three Lines of Defence (3LoD) model and demonstrated knowledge of first line of defence (1LoD) independent controls are expected.
- Business Resilience expertise: At least 3 years of experience in at least one of the activities listed under your responsibilities, with detailed knowledge and hands-on experience in one or more areas such as ICS quality, operational risk and controls, audit or supervisory remediation, external assurance, SII and CAP management, integrated control reporting, incidents, claims or resilience-related governance. Experience in assessment of the adequacy of control design and operating effectiveness through control testing is a plus.
- Senior individual contributor experience: Proven ability to perform complex analysis, produce high-quality deliverables, coordinate workstreams, review outputs, challenge assumptions constructively and support more junior colleagues through coaching, quality assurance and practical guidance.
- Stakeholder and presentation skills: Experience preparing management-ready materials and presentations for senior stakeholders, governance bodies and committees, with the ability to explain complex risk, control and resilience topics clearly.
- Mindset and delivery style: Strong analytical skills and the ability to understand complexity, combined with pragmatism, delivery orientation, attention to detail and the ability to manage conflicting priorities under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Digital and productivity skills: Advanced command of Microsoft Excel, sound working knowledge of SharePoint and collaborative document management, strong ability to prepare professional presentations, and solid experience in implementing and operating effective and accurate AI prompts and agents.
