Your area of work:
As a Compliance (Support) Officer within the Compliance Standards team you will be responsible for the maintenance of IT applications for regulatory screening and regulatory correspondence, supporting the screening of applicable laws & regulations, the onboarding of external suppliers, the review of compliance policies and corresponding topics. Compliance Standards is assigned to the area Group Compliance within Deutsche Börse Group (DBG). Group Compliance works closely with the individual business units to ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, regulations and professional market standards applicable to the various units of DBG and its business activities.
Your responsibilities:
- Maintaining dynamic (Go/React and Jira) IT applications designed for regulatory screening of applicable laws & regulations and regulatory correspondence with supervisory authorities, including user access management, identification and handling of bugs in close collaboration with the IT department and end users within the Group as well as business acceptance testing
- Supporting the implementation of IT application improvements (process, design and structure)
- Supporting the screening of relevant laws & regulations and assessing the applicability of identified laws & regulations to regulated entities of DBG
- Managing the onboarding of external service providers that provide services to Group Compliance
- Conducting regular reviews and updates of compliance policies and procedures
- Supporting the assessment and identification of potential enhancements to existing Compliance processes, proactively coordinating with stakeholders within Group Compliance and the broader organization
Your profile:
- You have successfully completed your university degree in Law, Business, Economics, or a related area and ideally have at least 2 years of relevant professional experience in the financial industry, consulting, or in Compliance
- You are able to work proactively, independently and result-driven and you tackle challenges as they arise
- You have high analytical skills
- You have a high attention to detail and strong organisational and communication skills
- Excellent written and spoken English language skills are a must, good knowledge of German is a plus
- Knowledge in technologies and frameworks (Jira, Go / React) as well as knowledge of financial regulations would be an asset
