In this role, you will assess the creditworthiness of a diverse range of counterparties and collateral issuers, including financial institutions, corporates, and sovereigns across both mature and emerging markets. You will provide timely, well‑reasoned credit recommendations to management, and respond swiftly to requests for credit information and guidance from business stakeholders.

You will also analyze clients’ credit needs with the objective of enabling efficient settlement while ensuring that the credit risk accepted by Clearstream remains fully aligned with the bank’s credit policies, underwriting standards, and applicable regulatory expectations.

  • Conduct comprehensive credit research and market intelligence to build strong knowledge of assigned counterparties.
  • Assess clients’ credit needs based on historical performance, financial data, and available collateral.
  • Prepare annual credit reviews as well as ad‑hoc credit assessments for counterparties.
  • Recommend the onboarding of new clients and propose appropriate credit limits.
  • Evaluate collateral eligibility criteria, identify data-quality gaps, and propose enhancements to improve robustness and consistency.
  • Contribute to the review, enhancement, and development of internal procedures, and guidelines.
  • Support the maintenance, design, testing, and implementation of new and existing credit tools and systems.
  • Review and assess the impact of new regulations and supervisory guidelines on the credit business.
  • Participate in credit-related projects and respond to ad‑hoc requests from management and stakeholders.
  • Provide support and knowledge-sharing to other team members.

Your Profile

  • University degree in Business, Accounting, Banking & Finance, Economics, or a related field.

  • Strong resilience, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver under pressure.
