Your area of work:

As part of the newly established Function, you will work on the roll-out of the data governance program across multiple business segments and streams, providing support to businesses during the transformation and, subsequently, maintenance phases. The role foresees taking the lead of one of the workstreams, eventually transitioning into the main point of contact for the stream-related content within Clearstream Data Governance Office.

 

Job location: Luxembourg or Prague.

 

Your responsibilities:

  • Support alignment of data domain model, operationalization of DMG roles across organization’s data landscape.

  • Drive business requirements definition on DMG tooling, including policy- and business driven configuration requirements for tool adoption and maintenance (i.e. policy and/or custom tags, DMG classifications, workflow definitions etc.).

  • Support business areas and data domains during the onboarding into the data governance processes (DMG roles and responsibilities assignment, data prioritizations, KPIs set-up etc.)

  • Support creation and maintenance of a data catalogue, data dictionary, business glossaries, data lineage tracking system, ensuring consistency and quality input across the data domains. Provide ongoing guidance and quality assurance during the domains onboarding.

  • Support definition and implementation of data quality KPIs and controls.

  • Create, review, and maintain relevant documentation and user guides.

  • Report on the workstream progress to senior management and DMG stakeholders, as required.

  • Drive resolution of encountered issues on assignments under responsibility.

  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and other DMG relevant actors, to ensure good organizational alignment.

 

Your profile:

  • Educational background and/or relevant experience in Information Technology, Data Management, Data Analytics, Data Governance or alike

  • A solid understanding of enterprise data management concepts, including data lifecycle management, data modelling, metadata management, data architecture principles and data quality management.

  • A solid understanding of data cataloguing, databases and data structures, data models and data domains as well as data governance standards. Experience with data management and governance in big data and/or data lake environments is desirable.

  • Experience in business analysis interfacing cross-functional teams. Familiarity with FMIs is an advantage.

  • Ability to translate, operationalize and articulate theoretical data governance concepts into actionable items to data owners. Ability to navigate between both broader perspective and detailed view.

  • A good understanding of regulatory environment and risk management frameworks, knowledge of BCBS239 principles is an advantage.

  • Critical thinking, sound analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.

  • Structured and result-oriented approach to work.

  • High commitment, proactiveness, willingness to take responsibility and learn quickly.

  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders in various organizational areas.

  • Previous experience in change or project management is an advantage.

  • Excellent command of written and spoken English. German and/or French will be an asset.
