Your area of work:
As part of the newly established Function, you will work on the roll-out of the data governance program across multiple business segments and streams, providing support to businesses during the transformation and, subsequently, maintenance phases. The role foresees taking the lead of one of the workstreams, eventually transitioning into the main point of contact for the stream-related content within Clearstream Data Governance Office.
Your responsibilities:
Design, develop and continuously improve data governance policies, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring their practical relevance, alignment with industry standards, regulatory environment as well as organization's objectives.
Review, align and continuously improve roles and responsibilities (including RACI) with respect to data governance. Test and iteratively enhance roles and responsibilities, to ensure their operational effectiveness.
Coordinate with the business lines, data products and other relevant functions, to implement data governance policies across lines of defence, supporting their effective integration into daily operations.
Support design and implementation of measures to track data governance progress and KPIs.
Support set-up, preparation and presentations for Data Governance Council and related forums, including definition of forums’ terms of reference, agenda, follow-up, and coordination activities.
Report on the workstream progress to senior management and DMG stakeholders, as required.
Drive resolution of encountered issues on assignments under responsibility. Support DMG related impact assessments and queries.
Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and other DMG relevant actors, to ensure good organizational alignment.
Your profile:
A solid understanding of data related regulatory and compliance requirements, data governance standards and practices.
Relevant work experience in business consultancy or change initiatives, involving policies, concepts or standards definition.
Solid understanding of enterprise data management concepts, including data lifecycle management, data modelling, metadata management, data architecture principles and data quality management.
Experience in BCBS239 context and/or with data management and governance in big data/ data lake environments is an advantage.
Organized, with strong attention to detail and ability to articulate complex matters in a succinct, structured and clear way; comfortable to navigate between both broader perspective and detailed view.
Critical thinking, sound analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders in various organizational areas.
Proactiveness, willingness to take responsibility and learn quickly.
Familiarity with Financial Market Infrastructures and their business and regulatory environment is an advantage.
Excellent writing skills (incl. technical writing). Excellent command of written and spoken English. German and/or French will be an asset.
