Your area of work:
Model Validation provides independent effective challenge of models, applying financial theory and quantitative methods. The main tasks are to define model risk and validation guidelines, develop appropriate validation methods, employ validation instruments on a regular basis and perform ad hoc model reviews in light of a changing regulatory environment and market conditiona Overall role is to drive and participate in the validation of models in scope of regulatory requirements such as market, credit, business or operational risk.
Your responsibilities:
Develop appropriate quantitative and qualitative validation methods
Develop and maintain validation concepts for capital requirement models in scope
Define and maintain guidelines and documentation
Carry out initial as well as regular and ad-hoc validations of models within Risk Management
Independently assess the adequacy of risk models on a regular basis
Engage with model owners and development experts to ensure model risk is properly addressed
Deliver model validation analysis and reports in support of senior management & committee review
Collaborate with internal and external auditor
Your profile:
- Minimum 3 Years of Risk experience with a focus on model development or model validation
- University degree, financial or quantitative discipline, PhD would be an asset
- Good understanding of financial markets, financial products, as well as the regulatory landscape (ICAAP, ILAAP, CSSF)
- Well-developed analytical skills, creativity, critical thinking, ability to identify problems and propose pragmatic solutions in a timely manner
- High degree of results orientation as well as good presentation and communication skills
- Good programming skills (e.g., Python, R, C++, Java), experienced with databases (e.g., SQL)
- Experience in writing business requirements and specifications
- Proficiency in written and spoken English, German or French language skills would be an asset
- Efficient team player with a high degree of organizational self-reliance
