Field of activity

 

In this role, you will lead a team of credit officers  to strengthen credit risk monitoring and reporting processes across a range of business activities, ensuring that the level of credit risks is in accordance with the bank’s credit appetite and policies, underwriting standards and regulatory requirements.

As Head of Credit Processing and Reporting, you will be managing day-to-day credit operations, ensuring that they run efficiently, securely, and effectively support the business processes. You will be working closely with Group Credit Management Luxembourg, coordinating with other stakeholders, driving improvement initiatives to optimize your processes and encourage innovation.

 

 

Tasks/responsibilities

 

  • Lead and manage the Credit Processing and Reporting Unit. Develop and implement strategic plans for the team and oversee the planning and execution of system enhancements and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure the stability, reliability and performance of your unit.
  • Monitor performance metrics / KPIs and lead initiatives to improve internal processes.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback and professional development opportunities and foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and inclusion within the team.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, regulations and internal policies.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation of your processes and support internal and external audits and governance requirements.
  • Optimize resource allocation to ensure effective use of personnel, tools, and technologies.
  • Represent your unit in internal and external meetings, manage communication with the relevant stakeholders, by providing timely high-quality, reliable credit service and expertise.
  • Deliver insightful information in support of senior management and committee review.

 

 

Qualifications/required skills

 

  • University degree in Business, Accountancy or Banking & Finance
  • 8-10 years of experience in credit risk management, including at least 3 years in leadership/management role
  • Proficiency in English, the knowledge of German and French is an advantage
  • Good understanding of financial instruments, market and credit risk concepts. Knowledge of the process of clearing and settlement is an advantage.
  • Adequate command of MS Access, familiarity with Power BI and Power apps is an advantage
  • A proactive and reliable leader, you bring initiative to problem-solving and collaboration. You have a demonstrated ability to manage teams and drive projects forward in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience leading and developing teams of professionals from various streams, including coaching, mentoring, and fostering a collaborative working environment.
  • Demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset, identifying and executing technology-related innovations to create value and drive continuous improvement in services and solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization from C-Level to individual level on visionary, strategic and technical scope.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities with a mature level of balance between people management and operational excellence
