Finance Operations is part of the Financial Accounting & Controlling area of Deutsche Börse Group. Finance Operations is the central operational hub for core finance processes of all major legal entities of Deutsche Börse Group. Finance Operations covers P2P Accounting, General Ledger Accounting, Legal Entity Closing and Statutory Reporting as well as Master Data Governance for appr. 70 legal entities especially in Germany and Luxembourg.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Master Data Governance and Migration Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this position, you will be working cross-functionally with business units of FA&C and other areas to ensure a holistic view on FA&C owned Master Data’s correct maintenance and quality. As a domain expert on FA&C Master Data, you will advise, coordinate, and liaise with other domains (Vendor, Customer, External Reference data) to ensure defined standards and policies are enforced. You will oversee data migrations, coordinating external business units to provide data in reasonable and sufficient quality. You will be reporting to the Head of Master Data based in Prague.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the E2E management of data migration projects, focusing on Master Data maintenance, from initial planning through to successful execution.
- Develop and implement MDG strategies to ensure data quality and governance.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure successful project delivery.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Conduct data analysis and validation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Work cross-functionally with business units of FA&C and other areas to ensure a holistic view on FA&C owned Master Data’s correct maintenance and quality.
- Advise, coordinate, and liaise with other domains (Vendor, Customer, External Reference data) to ensure defined standards and policies are enforced.
- Oversee data migrations, coordinating external business units to provide data in reasonable and sufficient quality.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, business administration or a related field.
- Extensive experience in SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) or any ERP system.
- Experience in managing data migration projects, including planning, execution, and Pre-migration validation.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data quality assessment and improvement techniques.
- In-depth understanding of data governance principles, frameworks, and best practices.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to perform complex data analysis, create pivot tables, and use advanced formulas
- Ability to develop and enforce data governance policies and standards.
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in conducting data audits and ensuring compliance with data governance policies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with Agile or Scrum project management methodologies.
- Experience in a similar industry or sector.
- Previous experience in a leadership role within a data governance or data management team.
