Area of work
The responsibilities of the Derivatives Clearing Design section at Eurex Clearing AG include designing, implementing, and maintaining clearing functionalities for both listed and OTC derivatives. It further ensures ECAG’s compliance with its global regulatory transaction reporting obligations. In order to align new functionalities with major clearing members and to support market wide trends and initiatives, Derivatives Clearing Design manages regular clearing committees for ETD and OTC Derivatives and contributes actively to several industry-wide working groups.
The Transaction Reporting Unit is a highly collaborative unit focusing on Eurex Clearing’s global regulatory transaction reporting obligations (EU, US, Canada, Japan). The tasks range from active participation in regulatory consultation processes of the respective regulation (including technical standards), internal design of the reporting infrastructure to ongoing monitoring and enhancement of data quality. This requires close collaboration with regulators, industry working groups, various internal business and IT interfaces and the regulatory reporting teams of our members.
Your responsibilities
- Regular analysis of rejected, non-paired, non-matched transactions and investigation of route cause
- Business contact for IT to coordinate any required correction of transaction reporting data
- Support design and implementation of measures to increase data quality of transaction reporting
- Design and implementation of enhanced business analytics and other tools to enhance operational efficiency of transaction reporting related processes
Your profile
- Educational background and/or relevant experience in Information Technology, Data Management, Data Analytics, Data Governance or alike
- First professional experience in the field of financial markets, ideally with background in regulatory transaction reporting, an advantage
- Strong analytical skills with experience to use tools like Power BI
- Basic programming skills in SQL and Python/PySpark
- Understanding of enterprise data management concepts, including data lifecycle management, data architecture principles and data quality management, would be an advantage
- Critical thinking, sound analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
- Structured and result-oriented approach to work.
- High commitment, proactiveness, willingness to take responsibility and learn quickly.
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders in various organizational areas
- Proficiency in written and spoken English, as well as proficient in MS Office applications
